My name is Celeste Iroha, RMA, CHW, MLS and I am the founder and Executive Director of Black Maternal Blueprint!

I founded this organization because it is time to fight for our Black Pregnant Women as they deserve the right to be treated with equality and dignity as other races when they are going into labor and delivery in our hospitals. We know that the maternal death rates are higher for Black Women than other races and we need to stand up and fight for our own and fight against the racial injustice and system oppression from those who are meant to treat us. 

This organization is important to me because I also work in healthcare and have been on the patient side of care too, so I see it daily and have continued to see the injustice we face and have experienced it firsthand.
